1. Our commitment
We believe a website that is fast, beautiful, and inclusive isn't three things — it's one thing. Accessibility is part of how we ship every page, not a checklist we tick at the end. We have publicly designated an Accessibility Coordinator, audit our pages on every release, and respond to accessibility feedback as a first-class engineering issue.
2. Standards we follow
We target conformance with:
- Israeli Standard SI 5568 (Web Content Accessibility) — Level AA.
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA published by the W3C.
- The Service Accessibility Regulations under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law (5773-2013).
3. Accessibility features on this site
Every page on irestweb.com includes the following accessibility features by design:
- Semantic HTML structure (one H1 per page, properly nested headings, landmark regions).
- Full keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable with Tab and operable with Enter / Space.
- Visible focus indicators — a 2-pixel ice-blue ring around the focused element on light backgrounds and a high-contrast white ring on dark sections.
- Skip-to-main-content link as the first focusable element.
- Alt text on all meaningful images. Decorative images are marked aria-hidden and skipped by screen readers.
- Form labels are associated with inputs; errors are announced and tied to the field that produced them.
- Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI controls).
- `prefers-reduced-motion` is respected — if your operating system requests reduced motion, hero animations and scroll reveals are disabled.
- The text resizes cleanly up to 200% without loss of content or function.
- Bilingual support: Hebrew and Arabic render in proper right-to-left direction, using a font (Tajawal) chosen for readability.
- Tested with VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), NVDA (Windows), and TalkBack (Android).
4. Known limitations
We test on every release, but we ship honestly. The following limitations are known and on our roadmap:
- Third-party embeds (e.g., maps, video players) may not fully conform to WCAG AA. We are evaluating accessible alternatives.
- Some legacy blog post images do not have descriptive alt text and are being backfilled.
- PDF downloads, where present, may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Email info@irestweb.com and we will provide an accessible alternative within 7 business days.
5. Audit history
Our pages are reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA on every production release. The most recent full audit was conducted on the date at the top of this page using a combination of automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual screen-reader testing. Audit reports are retained internally and available on request.
6. Browser and assistive-tech compatibility
The site is tested with the following combinations:
- Safari + VoiceOver (macOS 13+, iOS 16+).
- Chrome + NVDA (Windows 10/11).
- Chrome + TalkBack (Android 12+).
- Firefox + JAWS (Windows 10/11).
7. Physical accessibility of our office
Our office is on the ground floor with step-free access from the street. Visitors who need additional arrangements (sign language interpreter, extra-quiet environment, written materials in advance) are welcome to contact our Accessibility Coordinator at least 3 business days before visiting.

9. Tell us what to fix
Accessibility complaints, requests for an accessible version of any content, or suggestions for improvement are all welcome. We treat them as bug reports of the highest priority.
